Denny Duquette is returning to Grey’s Anatomy

Monday, August 25th, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.com

dennyduquette2.jpg

OK, not sure how he will be returning (another dream sequence?) but hottie Denny Duquette, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will be back at Seattle Grace. You may remember that crazy Izzie cut his LVAT wire to get him his heart, only to have it all backfire on her.

Rumor has it that Izzie is going to have a brain tumor and it is somehow related to this. And it is a guest role, so he wont be staying on permanently or for an extended time :( But hey, at least we get to see him, and hopefully as something better than that previous but cheesy Meredith death dream sequence that we last saw Denny in.

Final pre-strike Grey’s Anatomy episode pushed back a week

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

The final episode left of Grey’s Anatomy has been bumped from airing on January 3rd to airing January 10th instead. So we now have another week to wait before we see a new Grey’s episode… which could potentially be the last episode we see of this season, depending on how the writer’s strike plays out.

Bailey will narrate the 11th episode of Grey’s Anatomy

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

greysanatomybailey.jpg

Bah! We now have to wait til next year to see the 11th episode of the season, thanks to the writer’s strike. But in an interesting spin, instead of the usual Meredith voiceovers, it will be Miranda Bailey narrating the episode.

Question: OMG! Something’s happening to Bailey? Nooooooooooo! — Laurie
Ausiello: Physically? No. Emotionally? Yes. Let’s just say that random scene last week of Bailey at home with her husband and kid will make a lot more sense when Episode 11 airs early next year.

I love Bailey, and was so happy she was just named Chief Resident. But it sounds like how it ends up with Tucker won’t be good for her at all.

Sneak peeks for this week’s Grey’s Anatomy Physical Attraction… Chemical Reaction episode

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Here are some sneak peaks for episode 4×07 “Physical Attraction… Chemical Reaction” on Grey’s Anatomy.

I love how Meredith gets caught in the middle of how bad the sex is between George and Izzie, and then Izzie asking Mer if George pecked her too! Love it! Looks like a great episode… and I can’t wait to get to the aftermath of Lexy sleeping with Evil Spawn!

Brooke Smith joins Grey’s Anatomy as regular

Saturday, October 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Wheee! Dr. Erica Hahn will be sticking around as Dr. Erica Hahn after all. She will become the new staff cardiologist since the ousting of Isaiah Washington’s Burke. One of the doc’s will reportedly have a crush on her… any bets it will be McSteamy? But there is also the possibility that Dr. Hahn is gay…

Also rumored to still be up in the air is whether her romantic sparring partner will be a man or a woman.

“I honestly don’t know,” Smith said when asked if her character is gay. “I’ve certainly let [the producers] know I’m open to it.”

Lauren Stamile to play Derek’s love interest on Grey’s Anatomy

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Uh oh! Turns out that Lauren Stamile will be playing a love interest for McDreamy, and not a sibling as so many fans had hoped. She will be joining the cast as a recurring character.

Wonder if this will be some big sweeps thing?

Grey’s Anatomy Halloween episode spoilers

Monday, October 8th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We knew Ava (aka Jane Doe) would be back sometime this season, and since the Halloween episode brings a former patient back to visit Alex, we can bet it will be Ava!

The ladies at Seattle Grace form a club after one of the doctors try identical moves on each one of them. Seems the nurses and doctors (possible some interns?) have been comparing notes. I will guess the doctor in question is McSteamy, since he has been commenting on his luck with nurses lately! Would be fun to see what he does when his, um, resources at the hospital dry up!

Also, Meredith believes her mother’s ashes are haunting her (uh, what?) But with Meredith, I can just imagine her believing this.

And then we have Fingerless Guy, played by Jeremiah Hu, who cuts his fingers off with a chainsaw while carving his Halloween pumpkin… but he’s happy because the blood made his pumpkin look better.

Oh, and did we mention that a crazy guy then steals the finger-severing chainsaw to chainsaw off his own ear. Seems he thinks the ear isn’t his. Um, okay.

And a Yang will be dissed by a surgeon she admires. Wonder if this will bring about a change to Cristina, we have definitely seen her being a tad bit more sensitive since the whole Burke brouhaha.

Lauren Stamile joins Grey’s Anatomy… to play opposite McDreamy

Monday, October 8th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Eeek! Just when we thought it was safe to think maybe Mer & Der would somehow be together this season, Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Lauren Stamile is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy in a recurring role… and playing opposite Patrick Dempsey.

I know, I shouldn’t jump the gun, playing opposite could mean something other than a love interest, right? Like a sister or a sister-in-law or a step-sister? Right?

We’ll keep you posted!

Hot new Grey’s Anatomy spoilers on George & Izzie and more!

Thursday, October 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Wow, Ausiello sure knows how to dish out the good ones!

Take it from someone who has seen the entire episode — that’s me! — Gizzie is dealt a setback this Thursday when George chooses… um… let’s just say he makes an important decision that sets the stage for Episode 3, “Let the Truth Sting.” Keep in mind, Shonda strongly hinted that Gizzie wouldn’t start to come undone until news of their fling made its way around Seattle Grace. I believe what you witnessed in last week’s opener was the snuggle before the s**tstorm. Another scoopbit: Derek also makes a decision at the end of the episode, and it’s one that’ll make all you Mer-Der fans swoon.

You know, I kind of think this will be interesting to see how this spins out, especially seeing how Callie takes the news. It is too bad Addison left the show, I loved the scenes with Callie and Addision, it actually made me see Callie as a person instead of just “George’s wife” and the one who “took” Bailey’s job. Maybe Private Practice is looking for some new cast members ;)

And now onto Cristina… can’t you just see her reaction to Burke’s mama going all Dr. Phil?

Before she can get a new love interest, she has to purge the old one from her system. And she’ll do just that this Thursday when Mama Burke drops by Seattle Grace to administer a dose of tough love. And Cristina isn’t the only person she goes all Dr. Phil on. As I teased in this week’s Ausiello Report vodcast, Diahann Carroll takes Meredith to task for the “selfish” and “inappropriate” thing she did in last May’s season finale. And don’t even think of asking me for a hint. You know full well what thing I’m referring to.

And apparently tonight’s episode is just as good as one of those killer season two episodes!

OMG, I totally forgot to tell you the most important thing about Thursday’s installment: It’s fraktacular! If you were longing for the good ol’ Grey’s, I’m happy to tell you it makes a triumphant comeback tomorrow night. It had all the snap, crackle and pop of a Season 2 episode. And speaking of triumphs, Chandra Wilson gives a performance that has “2008 Emmy Reel” written all over it. I know it’s early, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that supporting-actress trophy is hers to lose.

Ah, don’t you just love Ausiello’s scoops?

Day Break’s Michael McGrady guest stars on Grey’s Anatomy

Friday, September 28th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Michael McGrady is guest starring on “The Heart of the Matter” episode on Grey’s Anatomy as Stan Singer. Fans will remember him as Buchalter on the ill-fated Day Break as well as a guest-run on Las Vegas Detective Max Dillon. It is believed he is playing the father to Adam (see episode details on SpoilerFix). Sounds like he qualifies for Father of the Year award!

Derek loves Meredith more than anything, according to Grey’s Anatomy’s Shonda Rhimes

Monday, September 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

meredithderekgreysanatomy.jpg

I swear, this is the kind of post I love to write, and it is coming straight from Shonda Rhimes, via Michael Ausiello.

Well, after Shonda and I completed our little off-the-record Private Practice powwow, she did the unthinkable: She gave me some actual, honest-to-goodness, steaming-hot scoop concerning Grey’s embattled supercouple. “I want to be clear that Derek loves Meredith,” she said as if to put the debate to rest once and for all. “Derek loves Meredith more than anything and I can’t imagine Derek going anyplace else other than Meredith.”

Come on, didn’t you all just sigh when you read that! And since we already know the Derek and Lexie thing is dead and gone, wheee!

Only a few days left til the season premiere… don’t forget we have the video preview of the upcoming season four available too!

A little bit more on Edward Herrmann’s Grey’s Anatomy stay

Thursday, September 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

edwardherrmann.jpg

We have been told exclusively that Edward Herrmann will only be sticking around Seattle Grace for a three episode arc. And since we know he will be an intern, this means that either he will quit the intern program (likely) or transfer to another internship program, maybe Mercy West like George had planned to?

Edward Herrmann will play an intern on Grey’s Anatomy

Thursday, September 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

How hysterical will this be? Dry humor funnyman Edward Herrmann will be playing an intern on Grey’s Anatomy!!! When we heard he would be a surgeon, it wasn’t really surprising… but an intern? This is going to be good!

He played Richard Gilmore on Gilmore Girls but to me he will always be best known as Grant Stayton III from Overboard, which also starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

Burke’s mama visits Grey’s Anatomy to dish on her son’s disappearance

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

diahanncarrollgreysanatomy.jpg

Bring on Diahann Carroll! She will be back this season in the second episode to spill the story behind her son’s disappearing act following the non-weddingof Burke to Cristina. Incase you have been living under a rock for the past several months, Burke will not be back this season (Yippee!)

Yep, Diahann Carroll’s returning in this season’s second episode when she shows up at Seattle Grace to get that choker back from Cristina. Needless to say, her return is shocking — and potentially clarifying — for Yang. It’s also funny as hell. In fact, I hear the entire episode is high-sterical.

I can’t wait to find out what happens in this episode, and to find out the reason Chandra Wilson uses to give Burke the boot from the show.

New special From Grey’s Anatomy to Private Practice

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

ABC has planned a new one hour special to attempt to hook in the Grey’s Anatomy fans into the ill-received spinoff series Private Practice, and is airing it in the Wednesday time slot being given to Private Practice.

The special is called “Come Rain or Come Shine: From Grey’s Anatomy to Private Practice” and will air at 9pm on Wednesday September 19th. I don’t know, but I think I would have called it something a bit more, um, different. And no word yet on what the special will be, exactly, but we will keep you posted!

Grey’s Anatomy video preview of Season Four

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We have been waiting for this! Finally we have the season 4 video preview of Grey’s Anatomy.

We see Lexie introduce herself to Meredith… and we see Derek say to Lexie “You’re the girl from the bar” to which Meredith replies “Girl form the bar? I’m the girl from the bar”. We also see Izzie confront George. And we see how Cristina is quite a lot like Bailey when it comes to dealing with her interns.

Spoilers for the Grey’s Anatomy fourth season

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

greysanatomycast.jpg

A new season of Grey’s Anatomy and some fresh new spoilers! Many of these will be in the season premiere September 27th, but some will obviously carry over for a few episodes, and some are rather obvious from how we saw the plot going in the season finale.

George decides to repeat his internship, meaning he’ll be with all the new interns including Lexie, Meredith’s half sister. No word on which new resident will have either George or Lexie, but we know it won’t be Izzie.

The rest of the former interns are now residents, and are having issues with having to report to Callie. You know this will create some killer scenes!

Meredith joins Cristina on her honeymoon before they both return to Seattle Grace two weeks after Burke walked out on Cristina. And yes, Burke has resigned (shocking!). And Meredith uses the time away to consider her own relationship with Derek.

Bailey is still pretty upset with Richard for chosing Callie for Cheif Resident and is struggling to find her place on the hierarchy of the hospital.

Richard takes Derek’s advice and decides to return to his position as Seattle Grace’ Chief. And he and Adele get back together.

After Addison leaves (for Private Practice), Mark tries to befriend Derek again… and it sounds as though his relationship with Meredith will also play a role in this.

More interns returning on Grey’s Anatomy

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

One of the interns from last season’s season finale has also snagged a spot as a recurring character on Grey’s Anatomy. Candice Afia will be returning to Grey’s Anatomy. She has also appeared on The Riches and Criminal Minds.

Joseph Williamson (who played the hot intern in the season finale) will be returning as well. He has appeared in many other television shows including CSI: NY, House, Las Vegas, Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls.

Of the remaining two interns we saw last season, neither are returning as this season’s interns.

Exclusive! Scoop on the new Grey’s Anatomy interns

Friday, August 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Exclusive to SpoilerBuzz! We have some inside scoop on the new Grey’s Anatomy interns who will be descending on Seattle Grace this season. Of course, we all know about Lexie AKA Bar Slut played by Chyler Leigh (who will be a regular cast member this season, if you haven’t heard). But what about the other newbie interns?

newinternsgreysanatomy.jpg

Claire
Claire will be played by Tymberlee Chanel who is a relatively unknown newcomber to television save for two guest roles. The first was on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation this year and Numb3rs.

Graciella
Graciella is played by Gloria Garayua. She has had some guest starring roles in Cold Case, the ill-received 3 Lbs., Strong Medicine, Joey, Six Feet Under and others.

Leo
Yes, we have a male intern too! Winston Story has had plenty of guest starring television roles as well, such as Dexter, That ’70s Show, The X-Files and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. But also a relative newcomber to the scene.

internleogreysanatomy.jpg

As you may have noticed, these aren’t the interns who were in the last episode of the last season! Those interns were played by Ajay Vidure, Candice Afia, Artie O’Daly and Joseph Williamson. No word if they will be showing up this season as well or not.

Updated: We have also been told that one of the interns is going to try and pull a Cristina/Meredith and hook up with one of the McDoctors… I am going to guess it will be lonely McSteamy, since Addison will be off to Private Practice and we are going to assume Callie is over scratching that itch! And we already know that the Derek/Lexie hookup won’t be going on after all (WHEW!)

Updated Part Two: Richard Keith, shown in the trauma gown, is the fourth new male intern, Intern Mitch Greenberg. He has been on Veronica Mars, NCIS, Boston Public and Ed.

Grey’s Anatomy Derek & Lexie hook up not happening!

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

meredithderek.jpg

Whew, let’s breathe a collective sigh of relief…. the Derek / Lexie hook up storyline has been ditched, at least for the moment. Shonda now has another hookup in mind for the girl also known as “Bar Slut”… Alex! Not sure what this means for the whole Alex / Ava storyline, especially since we just learned that Elisabeth Reaser will be back this season.
