Rob Lowe turned down the job of McDreamy on Grey’s Anatomy
Could you imagine Rob Lowe as McDreamy? It almost happened! Rob Lowe reveals on Ellen that he had to turn down the role of Dr. Derek Shepherd AKA McDreamy due to contractual obligations to CBS. Kind of ironic that it is now another ABC show, Brothers & Sisters that Rob Lowe is now involved in, albiet three years later.

Do you think the show would have been as good with Rob Lowe as Derek instead of Patrick Dempsey? Or do you think we would have transfered all those McDreamy fantasies to Rob instead?
